I Had a great time at Jeffery Combs workshop in Fort Lee New Jersey.
At this event I had the honor of being connected to Ms. Jennifer Baszile who is the Author of “The Black Girl Next Door”. A powerful memoir of a black girl’s coming of age in an exclusive Southern California suburb in the 1970s and ’80s.
It is not often that you meet someone as distinguished as Ms. Baszille she happens to have “More degrees than a thermometer” and she is one of if not the smartest person t I know.
Ms. Baszile is the first black woman to teach history at Yale University, as an assistant professor of history, American and African American studies, 1999-2007.
To get a copy of her book which has rave reviews from many well known publications such as The New York Times, The LA Times and Essence Magazine
